Ferrari F450 to be revealed at the Frankfurt Auto

Five or six years seems to be about the life span for Ferrari’s mid-engined V8 coupes. The F430 took the place of the F360 back in 2004, so its about time for it to bow to a new hot Italian. This replacement, currently codenamed the F142, should make its first public appearance this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The F430 is powered by 4.3-liter engine that produces 490 hp, and the replacement car should upgrade to at least 500 hp by having the engine enlarged to 4.5-liters, hence the likely name change to F450. The increased power will not be the only element that will make this car quicker, elements from the more eco-friendly 2007 Millechili concept will also make the car lighter. The rendering above is what we expect at least from Ferrari with the F450. Some rumors have Millechili being also used as part of the inspiration for the car’s design.
